Pour Out Grace

I may be a work in progress, but every day I get a little bit wiser, a little bit stronger, a little bit better.

I stress the importance of being gracious with yourself. Be patient with the process. Be kind to yourself through the ups and downs, the mistakes and triumphs. Do not beat yourself up after a slip. Do not degrade yourself the minute you do something wrong or not according to plan. We have not been designed to be perfect. You are a work in progress. And that means that you will get to your destination a little at a time. It will not happen all at once completely perfectly. It will happen day by day, step by step with many falls. Recognize the sheer beauty in that. It means you have the opportunity to try again, to do things differently, to grow and learn, to make a difference. You have the chance to explore, be creative, have fun with the process. You have the opportunity to build something beautiful or perhaps, start a new path if you wish with the time given to you and even discover more of you on the journey. All those things would not happen if you were placed right at the destination with no walking the path. Appreciate the journey, the time spent on it, and the imperfections made on it. It will all be worth it in the end.
